Corrections to this photo included the following:

Image-adjustments-levels, used slider for correct level

Colour Brightness-moved slider for correct shades

Colour contrast-moved slider for correct contrast

Mode-Grayscale

Magic Wand tool

Brush-painted people and map to make clear

Filter-Blur-gaussian blur-moved slider for correct blur

Select-inverse-feather (16)-edit fill

    Tasha, I like how you used the grayscale on this photo. If I were you I would have not had both girls pointing to the map, it looks a little to scripted. But other than that it is a very good photo.
